Project Profile - Baseball Stadium

Direct Pro Audio completed a sound system installation at historic Sam Crawford Baseball Field in Wahoo, Nebraska.
Named after "Wahoo Sam" Sam Crawford, Sam Crawford field is in the heart of Wahoo Nebraska. Sam is enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was elected in 1957 by the Committee on Baseball Veterans. He played for the Detroit Tigers from 1903-1918. He played in 3 world series and had 312 career triples.
With budget a concern, Direct Pro Audio designed and installed a sound system that met and exceeded the needs of the City of Wahoo Parks and Recreation Department. For security purposes, the main rack of the system can be easily unplugged and stowed when not in use. Inputs are a CD player, cassette player, radio tuner, and a wired and wireless microphone.
Rounding out the system are seven Yorkville Coliseum Series speakers mounted to the field fence. The system is loud, clear, and provides high fidelity sound to the entire bleacher area. The Yorkville speakers were a major improvement from the radio store band speakers that were previously installed.
Main components included:
- 7 Yorkville Coliseum Series loudspeakers and amplifier
- Audio-Technica wireless microphone system
- Tascam CD/Cassette Player
